The KFPA is a risk management institution established to prevent fire and develop insurance technology services under the “Act on the Indemnification for Fire-caused Loss And the Purchase of Insurance Policies” enacted in 1973.
In order to protect lives and properties of the people from fire, various activities have been carried out, including not only fire safety inspections on large buildings across the country, but also research on technologies for preventing disasters, testing, certification, education, and fire cause research. In order to become a world-class comprehensive risk management institution, we have actively responded to social changes and demands by expanding our business area to fire, explosion, collapse, storm and flood damages.
However, in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, rapid environmental changes based on information and communication technologies such as big data-based artificial intelligence, blockchain, and the Internet of Things (IoT) are also demanding more innovation and change in safety management.
We will be renewed as a comprehensive risk management institution by improving safety inspection work, strengthening communication with clients, and improving the competitiveness of each employee.
